Jeff Pancottine is the founder and CEO of Investment Manager, Smith Rock Capital Management, LLC,  and Smith Rock Capital Partners, LLC, the general partner to Smith Rock Capital Fund I, LP.  In these capacities he is responsible for investment decisions, marketing and management operations of the Fund.  Prior to his current position Jeff was an individual investor from 2017 to 2022. Previously, he spent 30+ years as an executive and CEO in public and private high technology firms such as: Sequoia Systems, Sequent Computer Systems, F5 Networks, Daptiv, Juniper Networks, Riverbed Technologies, and Tempered Networks. Jeff started his career at Bell Laboratories  as an engineer.

Jeff holds a Master of Science from Purdue University in Business Analytics with a focus on finance and machine learning .  He also holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University,  a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Honors from the University of California at Riverside, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Jeff currently serves as a Director on the Board of Wizmo, Inc., a SaaS Hosting company, and has been a board member of other private and non-profit firms.  He also holds a patent in network security: Overlay Network With Position Independent Insertion And Tap Points, April 11, 2017, patent number 9621514.
